Phillip Renaud - Western Views I

The sweeping vistas of mountains and prairies
of north America have recently called the painter's eye
and hand of Mr. Renaud. The son of a trading post owner,
he was born in the West, grew up in Alberta, and spent
his formative years surrounded by prairie and
mountains, big skies, cold winters and brief summers.

Here, the Earth's dynacism
is overwhelming in presence. Bringing home an
intimate moment of this powerful land is the
artist's challenge -well met by these assured paintings
